Walk the trail and enjoy a story!
The Indigo Trail is located at the Byron Forest Preserve near the Jarrett Prairie Center. Park in the lot by the Jarrett Prairie Center and look for the storyWalk® sign between the playground and the Jarrett Prairie Center. Walk along the prairie past the playground. The story starts near the woods.
Current book: "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!" by Mo Williams. When the Bus Driver takes a break from his route, a very unlikely volunteer springs up to take his place—a pigeon! But you've never met a pigeon like this one before. As the Pigeon pleads, wheedles, and begs his way through the book, readers answer back and decide his fate.
